In today’s post, I’m going to be doing the review of one of the best budget gaming laptops i.e. “ASUS ROG Strix GL553VE – FY127T“.

ASUS ROG Strix GL553VE Review | Best Budget Gaming Laptop?

Review & Opinion
I used this laptop for around 3 to 4 days.
The laptop has an amazing design. It looks fantastic and feels premium. The orange logo at the back of the laptop is really eye-catching and again… it looks fantastic. The display is really good and it has got amazing viewing angles (check out the video above).
It has an RGB Backlit keyboard and I have to say that the keyboard is not very noisy. Talking about the trackpad, I didn’t find it to be very responsive. If you decide to get this then you would definitely want to use a Gaming Mouse for gaming.
The booting time is also very less, it takes only around 15 seconds to boot up, thanks to the SSD that the laptop has.
Speakers are good but lack bass and the laptop overall weighs around 5 kg. Overall I really like the laptop and the only downside that I see in this laptop is that its a little bit overpriced.
Gaming Performance
I did run a couple of games on this laptop i.e. GTA 5 and Tekken 7. These 2 are my favorite games 😛
GTA 5 ran at around 50 to 70 FPS on Ultra Settings with Vsync turned off. Tekken 7 ran at Full 60 FPS on Ultra settings.
Did I face any frame drop issues?… Yes, I did but only once… the frames dropped by 10 to 15 fps may be because the laptop got overheated.

Conclusion
Overall, I can say that this is a really good gaming laptop and I would definitely recommend it. The two downsides in this laptop from my point of view are:
- That the Laptop is a bit overpriced.
- It is pretty heavy…weighs around 5 kg.
